2025-2026 ACADEMIC YEAR INTERNSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT
The internship period for the 2025-2026 summer semester has been set as Monday, July 20, 2026 – Friday, August 28, 2026, due to Social Security Institution (SGK) registration requirements.
Students are strongly encouraged to submit the internship application documents listed below to the relevant Department Chair/Program Internship Coordinator by Friday, June 26, 2026.
The internship period is 30 (thirty) working days. Internships will be conducted for a maximum of 5 working days per week. Students wishing to attend summer school cannot complete their internship at the same time as summer school. However, students who only need the Internship Evaluation Course to graduate may take the Internship Evaluation Course during summer school while completing their internship.
Internships will be conducted during the dates specified above. Students must notify the department/program coordinator of the business/workplace where they wish to complete their internship, and the internship location must be approved by the program coordinator.
Social Security Institution (SGK) procedures for students completing internships will be initiated by our Community College Administration. Since SGK accident insurance will be arranged for the student during the internship period and information regarding the internship location and dates must be reported to SGK prior to the start of the internship, the internship dates will not be changed.
Internships are generally conducted during the summer months; however, students who have no remaining courses requiring attendance for four semesters may also complete their internship during the academic term.
If you are employed at a workplace covered by SGK, you will need to submit the documents
Documents Required to Be Submitted to the Vocational School Directorate Before the Internship
(By June 26, 2026)
1- Copy of Turkish ID Card/National ID Card
2- Eligibility Certificate for Social Security Institution (SGK) procedures (to be obtained from e-Government)
3- The Internship File Cover Page Form (Form 1) on the first page of the internship forms, with all required fields filled out and a photo attached
4- The Workplace/Institution Internship Application Form (Form 2) on the second page of the internship forms, approved by the workplace where you will be completing your internship (Form 2)
5- The Workplace Internship Agreement (Form 11) with the required fields filled out and approved by the workplace (3 copies required)
6- A document proving you are employed in a job covered by SGK. (If you are not employed in a job covered by SGK, you do not need to fill out this document).
7- Applicants accepted into the National Internship Program must submit a printed copy of the page confirming their acceptance.
